Goals
Through a collaborative effort between the BESIII Collaboration and theorists within the FOR 5327, a partial-wave analysis will be performed of the hidden-flavor decay modes of exotic vector XYZ states in the charmonium sector into two-meson final states, e.g. \(Y \to J/\psi \, \pi \pi\).
The common dispersive formalism developed for the two-photon fusion processes, which will be used for this purpose, has the potential to extract the properties of existing and new states, and will lead to a more detailed understanding of the nature of exotic mesons.
